France Schengen Visa Requirements

Requirement:

  • Valid Nigerian Passport – Your passport must be valid for at least three months beyond the date you plan to leave France.
  • Two Recent Passport-Size Photographs – The photographs must be taken against a white background and show your face clearly.
  • A Completed and Signed Visa Application Form – You can download the form from the French Embassy website in Nigeria.
  • Proof of Financial Means – This can include bank statements, pay slips, or a letter from an employer. You’ll need to prove that you have enough money to cover your expenses while you’re in France.
  • Travel Itinerary – You’ll need to provide detailed information about your travel plans, including your flight, hotel, and tour reservations.
  • Medical Insurance – You will need to provide evidence of medical insurance covering the entire duration of your stay in France.
  • Proof of Accommodation – You will need to provide evidence of your accommodation while you are in France; this can be in the form of hotel bookings or an invitation letter from the host.
  • Police Report – A police clearance certificate if you’ve lived in Nigeria for more than six months.

  • A letter of introduction from your employer or school if you’re traveling for work or study.
  • A letter of invitation from a friend or relative in France, if you’re visiting them.
  • A marriage certificate or birth certificate if you’re traveling with your spouse or children.
