Job Summary
JIT Empirical Global Consult Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Legal officer/compliance officer to oversee the company’s legal matters, ensure regulatory compliance, and mitigate legal risks across all business units. The ideal candidate will support management by providing sound legal advice, ensuring adherence to laws, policies, and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide legal advisory support to management and internal teams
Draft, review, and manage contracts, agreements, MOUs, and legal documents
Ensure compliance with Nigerian laws, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting company operations
Handle company registrations, renewals, and statutory filings
Manage compliance policies, internal controls, and risk assessments
Liaise with external legal counsel, regulatory bodies, and government agencies
Support dispute resolution, claims, and legal negotiations when required
Maintain proper legal documentation and compliance records
Advise on corporate governance and ethical business practices
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum of LLB and BL (Call to Bar required)
2–5 years relevant experience in legal/compliance roles
Strong knowledge of corporate law, regulatory compliance, and contract management
Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills
High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
Ability to work independently and under pressure
Experience in travel, consulting, or service-based companies is an advantage
